BTIG analyst Andrew Harte downgraded Global Payments to Neutral from Buy without a price target following the investor day. The firm thinks the lack of clarity on the company’s ability to accelerate growth in fiscal 2026 leaves the stock in “no man’s land” for at least the next several quarters. Global Payments’ preliminary fiscal 2025 guidance was below Street estimates, but it also provided a medium-term outlook that included accelerated top- and bottom-line growth, the analyst tells investors in a research note. BTIG says the need to accelerate the business 15 months from now to meet the medium-term objectives leads to the downgrade.
