Water plays an important role in the lives of most living beings. Though it is abundant on planet earth, 97% is salt water and unfit for human consumption. Out of the available water resource only 1% is fit for human consumption and the remaining 2% is frozen. In the recent decade, water has become a scarce commodity. A main factor for the scarcity of water is due to increased amount of usage by the growing population.
Water is being used in various activities of a human life such as bathing, cooking, toilet, washing etc. It is important to note the consumption of water for different purposes in our daily life in order to conserve and efficiently utilize the resource.
