The U.S. Rig Count is down 702 rigs from last year’s count of 967, with oil rigs down 605, gas rigs down 98, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 11 and down 15 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is down 4 rigs from last week to 13, with oil rigs down 1 to 4 and gas rigs down 3 to 9. The Canada Rig Count is down 111 rigs from last year’s count of 124, with oil rigs down 80 and gas rigs down 31.
