Mortgage rates moved up today, but at a fairly tame pace in the bigger picture. The rest of the week, however, may not be as tame. There are multiple economic reports on tap with a history of impacting the bond market (which dictates rates). • At 9:00 AM, S&P/Case-Shiller House Price Index for February. The consensus is for a 3.2% year-over-year increase in the Comp 20 index for February.

• At 9:45 AM, Chicago Purchasing Managers Index for April.

• At 10:00 AM, Pending Home Sales Index for March. The consensus is for a 0.6% increase in the index.
